I was told today that my LB hit one of the nursery teachers and has been pushing other children. They said it's been going on for a few weeks. I obviously told him off when he came home. The problem is he's never hit anyone or pushed anyone around me (he's normally on the receiving end) so I'm unsure how I'm supposed to deal with this.

Seems it's a monkey see monkey do scenario. If lb is the one being pushed around at home, he is mimicking it in nursery. May be power roles at play here and alpha dog kinda of scenario. How long has little one been in nursery?x

He's been going for a year and moved up rooms with no issues 2 months ago. So no new environment. I did say to them when they asked how he interacts with children outside nursery that he's been pushed quite a few times but he plays well other than that. X

I'd have asked how they are dealing with it. You aren't there at the time so to me can't really tell him off as he probably doesn't understand.
When hes pushed at home is the one doing the pushing told off? He's probably just doing it to be boss as he knows the other kids won't do anything.

@Kath the majority of the time yes they are depending on who has done the pushing. There is one parent who doesn't tell their LB off and just kind of laughs it off so I end up removing my LB from the situation although he's done nothing wrong.
I might give us a quiet couple of weekends without visiting other kids and see what happens.
I didn't even think to ask the nursery what there doing about it I was just shocked to hear he had done it, especially the hitting x

did you get any answers from the nursery x

@Kerrianne we've had not hitting or pushing the last 2 days. They've said they will monitor it and I've asked that if he does it they take him aside and explain its wrong and not wait for me. Hopefully it stops as quick as its started x

that's amazing. I mean it's a phase most kids go through, my daughter is lobbing her toys at everyone ATM ðŸ˜. All we can do is explain its wrong or your hurting someone and go from there x
