that’s so good i want to go at 37 weeks but I’m so uncomfortable already and I’m only 34 weeks + 3 days

I have 9 days left until I go on mat leave, I originally wanted to work until 37 weeks but I’m way too big and way too uncomfortable now, and I’ll be taking 9months off until maternity pay finishes

Avatar

Working til the end. I work where I’m delivering so I’m in good hands 🤣

i work from home too and i have a 9 almost 10 year old and i need to start getting things out in place want the baby to come to a clean home..

this week is my last and i’m 35 weeks tomorrow. originally i thought i’d go till 38 weeks, but i work at a restaurant and it’s been super hard on my body. plus i have a gut feeling baby will come early

Avatar

I plan on taking off at 38 weeks. I'm 36 weeks rn and with the way the Braxton Hicks have been coming, I don't think I'm gonna make it til then 😅

Avatar

My doctor is forcing it at 35 weeks, which is fine but I’m such a busy body I’m going to go nuts, I just know it.

I’m Working till delivery.

I’m going at 37 weeks! I’m a dentist and I just feel so out of breath easily. It’s our first and I honestly just want to relax before baby comes ☺️

Working until week 36. In California, you get 4 weeks before your due date to use disability. You can’t add it to after your delivery date, it’s a use it or lose it situation here so I’m taking full advantage.

Avatar

Working until I pop lol. I only get so much time off.

My job has us work until you go into labor, unless you get put on bedrest by your doctor. But I have an office job and am working from home these next few weeks since I only have 4 left.

Avatar

I wish I could take full advantage too! Unfortunately, I will have to wait till 38 weeks to make sure work doesn’t fall apart. Will definitely stop the last two weeks though and use it to get ready physically, mentally and try to relax.

Avatar

I’ll work until the day I go into labor. I want my full 12 weeks at home haha

Avatar

I’m doing 5 days sick leave before due date. I’ve been remote since 32 weeks

Avatar

I was tempted to aim for 37/38. But this little girl is kicking my butt. I’m out at 36 for sure!

Avatar

35 weeks I just really need the time to get my life together, working and trying to figure out everything has had me overly stressed for months , I was born early and I just don't want any surprise labor at work and loose my job from baby coming early so I'm trying to give little man a 5 week window just in Case.

38 week

I’m working till the end! I’m 33w5d and plan on going up till baby comes

Avatar

My due date is Oct 1st, Im scheduled to work until Sept 22nd, then I start Mat leave

Avatar

I started mine this week(33 weeks along.) I wanted to work longer but I was told it’s unsafe for me to continue working.

Avatar

I'm working until I start contracting

Avatar

if you don't mind me asking, what job do you have? 9 months of paid mat leave is great

Avatar

why would you lose your job from the baby coming early?

Avatar

Yes if the baby was to born while I still had days to work, if I didn't have enough protected time or points to cover my recovery without pointing out I'd be terminated.

Avatar

sorry I’ve just realised this is the US group, I’m from the UK, we get 9 months paid (not fully paid, it’s only £176 a week but it’s something)

Avatar

ahh good for you
