So my bd loves to bring up “what if” scenarios.
He keeps bringing up “ what if she tells you one day that she wants to live with me “ and i honestly don’t even know what to say then it brings up what our plans are in the beginning as co parents , i say he has her one week and i have her the next , he explains that that’s too much and stressful and she should just live with him after the newborn stage and that i can come over whenever to see her ? I thought he was joking in the beginning but now he’s sounding fr and i don’t even have the energy to argue this concept with him bc i think it’s stupid asf and Idek where to go with the conversation. What are y’all doing as co parents or what works the best for y’all?

My child’s father and I are not on good terms and he hasn’t been here for me. It’s a complicated situation but i do het tense because he’s financially wealthy and established and do not want him to try to file for full paternity after he’s born. I want him to stay with me and don’t mind as he gets older to have him go over his dads as he grows and his father earns that but it does make me feel some type of way that he will go this route because of his financials in our case. However most times the child stays with the child and shared custody with the father unless it’s proven she’s not fit

I was actually told it has to be 7 months till the baby can go to the other parents house because there just now getting used to the outside. So I'm with my bd rn but we don't live together due to something that happened he'll be visiting him and if he wants he can spend the night over here and then if still ain't living together by the 7 months then our son will finally spend the night with him

That’s good to know . I was actually thinking if we end up workin things out then to let him go stay with him and get picked up after 6 months because he also lives an hour away from me so that’s alot for baby to be transported back and fourth like that .

I’m sorry but even when newborn stage over or not unless a court finds a mother unfit and gives the father right or the mother thinks it’s in the best interest of the child to go lives with her father, I’m not allowing my kid to live with her father. As quick as he said you can come visit so can he. I’m a FTM so once my LO comes it’s not leaving my sight. It’s inconsiderate in my opinion for him to think that’s okay so if he lives far away y’all can rotate driving to each other (if y’all ever split up etc) but I know I’m gonna be overprotective until my child at least older talking and can voice their interest of staying with its dad which would potentially be around teenager years when I’ve taught them enough to make their own sound decisions
