Nursery

As my little boy is about to turn 2 I’m looking at nurseries.
How are your little ones getting on? Are they going already? How long for? And what are the fees around where you are?
My nearest nursery day rate is 89£ 😱it includes meals, nappies, snacks and activities and they only offer full days.
I would like to send him 2x a week, but even if I work 2 full days that doesn’t cover the nursery fee🤦‍♀️

My almost two year old goes 3 full days a week. Fees are £67.50 a full day which includes food, she's been going since she was 9 months and loves it

My son is nearly 2 and he goes Mon, Tues, Weds, Thurs 8 til 5 (ish) and he is loving it, he's been going since he was about 10 months, I love that he's learning so much and he's made real proper friends that he talks about all the time, i think ours is £69/day but that doesn't include food, nappies, wipes etc.

We pay around 65-70 a day (had a small increase recently). She's been going since she was 11 months when I went back to work, for three full days. She loves it. Marches in happily in the morning and matches out happily in the afternoon when I pick her up. I think when it came to settling in, it was me really who struggled to adapt to the idea of her being away from me all day. Also last winter she was constantly sick and so were we, just something to keep in mind as they keep catching bugs at this age.

I was saying to my other half that maybe I don’t go back to work straight away as he will be one week in and one week out for some time while he catches all the bugs.

from what I see around me, you will go through that now or later. Immune systems build up this way, unfortunately we can't skip the bugs. I have friends who delayed nursery because of the fear of getting sick all the time and their kids all had a lot of sickness in their first 6 months, whether they were 2 or even close to 4 in one case.
