Pregnancy pillows! Help!

Hi ladies, I am almost 20 weeks pregnant, and find myself waking up heaps during the night on my back! Looking for some recommendations for pillows that will help keep me on my side!! I need to shake this habit!

I also have naturally low blood pressure so my Dr advised I stop sleeping on my back at 15 weeks, and I find I wake up and can't feel my hands 🤣🙊 that on-top of the blood getting to the baby, I need to stop it haha.

I am a back sleeper, I got a C shaped pillow which mostly prevents me from waking up on back. I pull ends of pillow between legs and under neck and the rest of pillow is pulled tight against my back which means I can lean back and relieve my shoulder pressure but you’re always tilted so not flat 😊

these come up all the time on my socials and I did wonder if they're actually any good!!! Thanks for your honest opinion, I'll keep scrolling!

ohhhh okay! This is great!

And you find your bump is comfortable enough ???

I was sceptical about the Butterfly pillow, but caved and bought one at an expo to save on shipping, plus you can return for free within 90 days if you don’t like it. I’m honestly amazed at how much more comfortable it made side sleeping for me. I’ve used it every day since 15 weeks, and am now 20 weeks!

oh I'm glad it has served it's purpose for you!! Are the ends firm???

Avatar

no they’re not firm, but the middle is stitched so the sides stay at the side- if that makes sense.
I do sometimes still sleep with another pillow between my legs, but haven’t had any issues getting and staying comfortable since I got it.

Yeah my bump is fine, because you can lean back on the pillow your belly doesn’t feel squashed. However I’m sure that’ll be bump dependent haha 😊

I brought my pillow off Vinted 2nd hand for super cheap. just Incase I didn’t like it as they can get pricey. Maybe look around for some cheaper 2nd hand options because you can trail and error them and waste less money if it’s not working for you 😊

Thank you all for your advice!!! As I just am not sold on the pillows I decided not to go full hog and get an expensive one. I decided to start with "4Baby Body Pillow Feathers Grey" from Baby Bunting (Australia). It is a C style pillow. Used it last night and I was out for 9 hours!!! Woke at about 2am (toilet 😅), and I was in the same position I fell asleep in!!! Couldn't recommend more!!!! It's basically a hug without the heat 😅

Hi I highly recommend sleepy belly, I bought it about a month and a half ago and absolutely love it! It’s perfect to prevent back sleeping as it has one section with a butterfly shape, which would be on both sides of you, preventing you from sleeping on your back and providing support to your belly as it grows. It also has another section to put between your legs which is so comfy! (My husband is already trying to claim that section for him when our baby is born 🤭)

haha you tell that husband to back off the goods!! 🤣🤣 thanks for the recommendation!

So ready for second trimester 🥲

I really really hate the first trimester. It’s exhausting, no appetite, not enough hours to get the amount of sleep I need, headaches, smell sensitivity, and overall just feeling like crap! And I don’t want to announce anything until 14 weeks since I’ve had losses before, and it’s getting really hard to hide it from my friends. Two more weeks to go….

Just needed to vent to others who understand!

Anxiety

I’m 10 weeks and I have had so much anxiety probably for the last 2-3 weeks I already deal with anxiety but it was a tad bit easier shaking it off when I wasn’t pregnant.. I am on medication but doesn’t seem to be doing much tbh— I see a lot of yall say it’s a first trimester thing but this is my 3rd baby and I don’t remember being this anxious especially bc sometimes I’m just laying and heart rate reaches the the 120s am I the only one? Please help with suggestions. I don’t want to feel like this.. I know pregnancy is hard but fudge this makes it’s harder 😔😔😔

39 weeks pregnant FTM

39 weeks baby hasn’t come yet and I am just full of anxiety. I am trying to relax. I am trying to chill, but I can’t chill. I do not want to be induced. I would love to have her natural. Issue is I am tight down there and petite and baby is measuring big like the head especially. I know that measurements can be off. But I have photos! And she is a chunk. This is so unpredictable. How do I just put my faith forward and trust in God and how do I let go of this anxiety? I am doing fine and then boom it hits me and I want to ball my eyes out. I am trying to treat myself and do little things but driving or doing anything is so hard now and I’m so huge and uncomfortable …I’m at my breaking point 😭

SPPH (secondary postpartum haemorrhage) due to retained placenta -D&C?

Looking to see if anyone else has experienced this? Currently trying to pass retained tissue ( 4 weeks pp) and finding every day so exhausting just constantly waiting and checking my bleeding. I stopped bleeding on week 2.5/3 then bleeding picked up last Saturday and I haemorrhaged on Thursday morning with a rush to hospital. Everyday since I’m waking up scared I’ll be bleeding out. Worried to go toilet to check, I’m not convinced I’ll be passing it naturally and I’m worried I’ll need a D&C… has anyone had this? My retained tissue is 2cm so they said it’s small but I have no signs of passing it or blood changing colour to show slowing down.
