The last health visitor appointment we had for my daughter was at the 8 weeks mark. I think there is also a 6 month check that we did not have and now I saw a post about the 9 month appointment. I don't have any letter yet. Is this something we have to phone and book? Is there anyone else who did not have the 6 month visit?

We only had one early on, haven’t had one since or any letters about any upcoming ones. We were told it was around the year mark that we will get seen again. We do have a text line that we can make contact if we need to but overall our heath visiting service is pretty poor in our area x

The 9 month check is more 9-12 months so you might get yours a little later. Do you have a children’s centre you can visit so you can possibly book it. That’s what I did but I do go every 4 weeks due to weight issues. Also didn’t have a 6 month check

I haven’t had a HV appointment since my LO was 8 weeks old, im just going to wait until I receive a letter ☺️

The HV is always contacting you for the visit. The service in my area is pretty good, I had visits since the 1 month and last one was the 9 month check. Usually every 2/3 months they will make contact. We had the 6 month visit, is just to check the weight and to explain about the weaning, teeth health and start of solids. You can try to contact your local unit so they can arrange the visits more often.

I've had a quite a few, 12 weeks, 4/5 month, 7 month and we've just had his 9-12 month check. With it being my first my HV was happy to pop put for extra appointments. Shes also going to do a phone call after hes 1. I just arranged them with her at every visit so we both had them in our diary. I do believe they either call you or send a letter to arrange the visit

I think our last one was a 6 week check or somewhere around that age when they start smiling and then nothing until 1 years old

One at 2 weeks old. None since
