Combi feeding advice

Has anyone gone from EBF to combi feeding? Currently do one bottle of EBM per night and they one half formula half breast milk mixed in the day. The other times she still feeds on me. Ideally I want to feed all day via bottle and all night with breast. She’s 7 weeks and takes a bottle well, how long should I leave it before adding another bottle to her daily routine?

Currently transitioning to formula feeding from EBF & my baby girl is 6 weeks old.
The way ive been doing is swapping out a breastfeed for a bottle every 7-10days. Im doing it slowly to allow my body to adjust.

I didn't really have a choice when we transitioned. My supply was just too low, so I'd give her the boob, then fix a bottle afterwards, but it's become more like supplementing the formula with breastmilk than the other way around. My goal is eventually getting back to EBF, or as close to it as possible.

Your baby will most likely be fine with an immediate swap to where you want to be with bottles, but your body will take some time. If you want to maintain supply, just make sure you're pumping regularly.

I do breast during the day and pumped milk via bottle at night, if we are out I also have a bottle ready for baby.

👜✨ Show Me Your Changing Bags! ✨🍼

What changing bags is everyone using for their little ones? Especially those formula feeding!

I’ve got the one that came with his travel system, but I’m fancying a new one — looking for something stylish but practical! I’d love to see what everyone else is using! 🤍

Fed up

My 16 month old is only waking twice a night but for both those time she is suckling on me for 40 minutes and then I can’t transfer her to the cot so I’m in there for nearly an hour and then have to end up getting my husband to come in when she’s asleep enough to pass her to him, within 10/15 minutes of being in there he gets her down

I know two wake ups isn’t bad but being in there for so long is killing me and then because I’m so awake after that it’s really hard to get back to sleep.

The only answer is to stop the nursing back to sleep but she cries so much I can’t handle it, a few minutes feels like a life time 😩 I feel so trapped and fed up this is so so hard. I can deal with multiple wakes if she goes back down easily but this is torture
I wouldn’t even mind co sleeping but our bed is way too high and our mattress is very soft so it’s not safe and whenever we’ve tried anyway she just gets wide awake and thinks it’s play time 🤦🏻‍♀️

Moving to own room

Have we put our babies in their own rooms yet?? I know it’s recommended around 6 months but I don’t feel ready yet. Can someone educate me on why we are supposed to do it at this age??

How often does your breastfed baby wake in the night?

Mines pretty much every hour, hoping for similar answers from others 🤣
