Hello everyone👋🏼
My little girl was recently ‘diagnosed’ with CMPA we started on Sma alfamino but it wasn’t settling her so we took a trip back to the doctors and they have now prescribed her Neocate, which has been great so far although only started it yesterday. The last bottle I noticed her being sick quite abit, it’s just coming up like watery sick she isn’t struggling to get the sick up it’s just drooling out of that makes any sense at all. But it’s quite abit, not just a spit up you could see jer wretching and her little body moving to get the sick up. I hope this makes sense🫣
Would you guys say this could be reflux or need carobel thickener? I want to go back to the doctors and ask them but they seem to have absolutely no clue what so ever🤷🏼♀️😂

I'd definitely suggest carobel. We've been on nutramigen, neocate and now alfamino and had to use carobel with all of them. Just helps keep it down a bit if it's solely due to it being thin

What is the need for carobel though I would like to educate myself before I educate the doctor😂🤦🏼♀️
Thankuou xx

Just makes it a little Thicker 😊 reflux-y babies tend to struggle with thinner consistencies, so it's a quite common to need it for allergy milks

We have had (still have a bit at 8 months) this problem. When we asked for carousels the doctor said no. He said it contains soya and some CMPA babies are allergic to soya and so to see if we could persevere without it. We did as he was about 4.5 months and once we started weaning it got 1000x better. It was such a pain though
