Out of no where my baby got sick in the middle of the night threw up. It was on her hair and pjs. I checked her temp and she has 100.1 fever. I called the pediatrician office and talked to a physician they said unless she 100.3+ I don’t need to give her Tylenol yet. Dr said it was good that was the only time she puked and that was a while ago.
She’s been taking milk and fluids which is good but I’m still very worried. I check fever over 4 times now under her arms and it’s either 100 or 100.1
She’s just acting sleepy/sad/clingy and a little under the weather but other than that no other symptoms.
Anyone going through this or ever have??? I’m scared and just keeping an eye on her currently.

My LO had a fever for about 48 hours on and off about 2 weeks ago. I agree it's super scary. My LO's temp was closer to 102 and we used Tylenol to help her get some rest. We also did multiple cool baths and would put wet rags on her. She threw up one time also from coughing too hard. We did go to urgent care but that is cuz she had a cold and seemed to be getting better then started getting worse. Babies are really fast healers imo but just keep your LO hydrated and give all the snuggles.

Definitely a scary experience my lo had covid back in April and ended up taking him to he er because his temp was 103 and heart rate was in the 190s

The 1st time is scary. You’ll get used to it. Take a breath. Relax. Your baby is fine and you are doing great!

I felt the same way when our LO got sick for the first time a few weeks ago. Definitely keep up with her temp every 4hrs is what I was recommend. My daughter had a 102 fever for two days before I scheduled a doctor visit with her pediatrician. Luckily it was just an ear infection but still scary for the first time.
Try to keep them comfortable no matter what. Light clothing, extended lukewarm baths to help bring fever down, and this is up to you but we were told to do Motrin and Tylenol. Just wait 4hrs in between giving each dose. Definitely lots of cuddles.
Hope your little one feels better soon 💖

my husband tried to give her baby Tylenol and she puked it up bc I think it just didn’t sit well with her and she was surprised by it. So if we don’t need to use it we are not at the moment.
She’s doesn’t have an appetite and isn’t drinking as much of her bottles as normal. Although every hour I’m making sure she is getting some even it’s not the full amount.
We’re on day 2 and if she’s not turning a corner by tomorrow I’m taking her in. Dr said it normally takes 3 days and she should be fine treated at home unless symptom get worse.
Just extremely stressful!
Thank you for all your kind words and advice!!

I am going through this right now!! And I took him to the doctor no virus etc, but looks like he has teeth breaking through so I definitely think it’s teething!

it’s horrible seeing them sick! She’s just starting to get back to normal but those few days she was sick felt so long.

hoping your baby feels better soon! ❤️

I’m glad she is starting to feel better! Next time if she doesn’t want milk try pedialyte. Or watered down Gatorade zero. I’m so glad all the moms on here were able to provide some great advice for you and your LO.
