Holding saliva ??

So my 18 month old daughter has been holding saliva in her mouth, and spitting it out all day. She’s walking around holding it in her mouth and then when she opens her mouth a bunch of saliva runs out. Anyone have any idea on why she is doing this? She has been under the weather the last couple of days. But I’m just really wondering why she is doing this😩

My daughter has the same issue. I don't know if she is purposely holding it in but she constantly has saliva drooling out of her mouth. I don't know if this is something I need to reach out to my Dr to but it just doesn't seem right.

Maybe her throats hurts so she doesn’t want to swallow it?

Sounds like sensory play. She'll likely fund something else to entertain herself soon. Give her a place that it's ok for her to do it. Like outside or in the bath. Try redirecting her to those locations when she does it.

yeah she’s been doing it all day. I haven’t seen her do this before. And she’s letting it out in the worst places like on the bed or the floor. It’s really annoying lol. I think I will reach out to the doctor just to rule out of her being sick has anything to do with it

Is she teething? I know that causes drooling, I wonder if she’s just holding it in
