My baby is 14 months old and I think I’m ready to stop breastfeeding, only thing that scares me is she isn’t that good with eating. She will have breakfast but not much else throughout the day and breastfeeding gives me reassurance that she’s eating/ getting nutrients but if I stop I’m not sure if she’ll be getting enough and lose weight.
Any one been in similar situation? How did you manage? Do they eventually start eating more? What do I do to help her compensate? Do I have to continue breastfeeding until she eats better? 😩

Hey mama. I’m actually weaning now. Day 8 for us. Like you also my daughter refused to eat during the day. We tried to cut down but it wasn’t consistent so I had to do cold turkey. First few days were hell for sure but I promise you. They will eat. You just have to do your part to make sure There’s always snacks and food ready.
Would someone else be able to step In and help?

Is there a reason you’d like to stop now? WHO advise breastfeeding until at least 2 years old. Just thought I’d check in to make sure you weren’t being swayed (by others) to stop before you and your baby are ready.
