Sickness
Is anyone else still experiencing the odd sick days? I'm 26+4 and still get some sickness on and off
It really takes it out on me and physically as well
Yesterday I called in sick at work and they basically did not believe me and said I had to come in as they were short staffed and I had no choice.
I told them I would try my best but would be late, sickness continued and not to mention I felt awful and had the worst headache ever. Definitely think it was the heat getting to me.
Either way I rang work again told them I will not be coming in, they got pretty mad at me over the phone and said how I've left them short staffed and now everyone is struggling. I apologised but she put the phone down on me.
I'm so worried today and have been stressing all night that I'm going to lose my job. I'm still not feeling 100% due to lack of sleep, stress and this headache! I don't know what to do

I still have sickness every day I've been told mine will be through pregnancy waiting for it to stop. I know the feeling. They can't fire you for being sick just speak to your midwife and they will advise you
This is awful! Have you had a pregnancy risk assessment at work? This should be offered every trimester, they cannot discriminate you for being off sick and pregnant, them being short staffed is their fault not yours. The most important thing is you and your bubba
I have deffo been having more sick days recently 😢 I'm 26+5 and yesturday was bad but think your right this heat is making it worse
@Elizabeth they've only done one risk assessment and that was when I was about 10 weeks I honestly can't believe they treated me how they did yesterday. They even said they'd pick me up from home and bring me into work if they had to I was in shock 😔 feeling like they didn't believe me
Can I ask what can of environment you work in? This is awful. I would be asking for a meeting or writing a letter to someone higher up.
My sickness days are fortunately rare but still appear and I’m 27 weeks.
