Hey girls. I'm off out for bday meal with friends and I'm sick of being in standard Flip flops all the time. My ankles are abit swollen and my boyfriend doesn't want me wearing heels as he says they're dangerous. What do you guys think please? Obviously I won't be wearing huge heels, maybe just kitten heels or something. I just want to feel pretty for once as my pregnancy has made me feel very bland and chunky.

You can wear them if you want as long as you feel comfortable!! My mum wore 6inch heels when she was pregnant every day 🤣🤣 do what you want xx

I had a my baby on 6th December last year and went on a hen do last September, I worn heels and fell over, landed on my stomach and face and pulled all my stomach muscles and couldn’t sit up or walk properly for the rest of my pregnancy because I was in so much pain, so in my experience I’d advise against it 😂 xx

I am 4ft 11 so I’ve been wearing heels everyday since I was 14 cause I was always so self conscious of my height, I’m 32 weeks pregnant today and still wearing them everyday😊

I would wear flats and then change into heels when you get there. From the second trimester you can be off balance if your LO moves.
Then at least you have the option to change back if it’s too much.

I wore some medium height (2.5inches ish) heels for a meal out the other week and came home with slightly swollen feet. They had a chunky heel, probably could have been more supportive as they were just strappy sandals but it was nice to feel dressed up! I did take it slowly whilst walking, not that I can go very fast now anyway (36 weeks!)
I’m so used to wearing heels all the time for work and I’d missed it!

@Isabelle oh wow. Bless you! I'm sorry to hear that but thank you for sharing with me. I might rethink my shoes.

Go for it! I had a few work events when I was 8 months pregnant and wore my platform heels 🤣 I was definitely slower at walking in them but I’m used to wearing heels often x

I would recommend to refrain from heels, as you might find it challenging to balance 1) risk of falling 2) don't stress your body muscles or nerves.
But it's still a personal choice, if you can manage go ahead. Remember to carry a comfortable shoes along and take off your shoes if you are sitting. Also it depends how far long you are in your pregnancy. Make a right decision 👍

Try wearing them round the house and see how you feel.

I wore heels last week to go to the ritz! My husband passed a similar comment 😂 I went wedges to make him feel better (and they were comfier too!) x
