It’s nothing to stress about, it’s only just slightly high, it’s not a bad thing that they want to keep an eye on it, if you’re worried get a machine to test it at home and keep an eye on it.
I had high blood pressure before falling pregnant and now mine is around the same as yours and that’s classed as more normal, hope this helps xx

thank you for reply, I have so much stress at the minute, trying to get help for my son (ASD and mute but no one wants to help me) my partner was hit by a truck in work and was thrown 10ft thankfully only internal bruising, plus i have an active one year old. Thank you your reply has made me feel a bit better x

Oh wow bless you, feel free to give me a private message!
Hope everything starts to get better for you soon xx

Hello! I’m quite aware of blood pressure. Mine tends to read higher- especially when doctors take it.
I read it at home every day and it is normal but when it reads higher for doctors it’s called ‘white coat hypertension’ - which does slightly increase the chance of preeclampsia.
I had an appointment yesterday with the blood pressure team at my doctors and they said if they see readings with the top number over 140 or the bottom number over 90 then they like to put people on blood pressure medication. So they have put me on a small dose. I wasn’t massively happy as it’s reading normal at home but ultimately it’s more dangerous to have high blood pressure than to be on the medication for it.
The good thing is is that doctors will stay very aware and cautious and give extra monitoring etc so it’s almost better to find out now rather than someone that has no indicators and then down the line develops preeclampsia without warning.

They didnt mention meds, just keep and eye, my next midwife appointment is not for another 4 weeks x

Heya, I’m a nurse. Your blood pressure is fine, nothing I would be too worried about! As the lady above has said the diastolic (the lower number) is slightly on the higher side but likely due to being nervous or the stress you have going on! I really wouldn’t worry, it’s good that they’re planning to keep an eye on it and if it does require treatment they know what they’re doing 😊 sorry you’re going through a hard time too! C

thank you so much, the stress is just too much, this is also my 7th pregnancy and totally unplanned, as in jan that i was now infertile as they found i have a condition where the lining of my womb grows inwards into my muscle instead of outwards. So it was impossible to get pregnant and also im 43 next week. Just so much going on. X

oh bless you!! Sounds like a complete rollercoaster! I have good ear if you ever need a rant! 😊❤️ x

that’s really good then that they didn’t mention meds as that means they are not worried. And even if they do down the line it will just be as a precaution.
No wonder it’s reading slightly elevated at the moment as you have so much going on and so much stress.
Just remember you’re in really good hands and the fact they are aware is good.
When I’ve been stressed in the past mine has a shot up super high so if your elevated results are you under stress then that probably means that normally it’s completely fine.
Such an anxiety inducing time though- are you able to speak to your GP for some help with anxiety? Xx

Ive got a therapy session on Monday, that was already in the pipeline before i got pregnant. X

that’s great! I have regular therapy and find it very helpful. Hope it goes well xx

120/80 is the ideal and you’re not much over that on both readings

I do have low iron levels so wondering if that is effecting it as i cannot keep my iron tablets down due to morning sickness.
