March 2024 Babies 🇬🇧

My son turned 2 a week ago and for the last 2-3 weeks his sleep has been terrible. He’s not been a great sleeper since around 7 months old but I’ve worked really hard to ensure he has a very consistent bedtime routine and it really improved a few months ago. However, suddenly about 2-3 weeks ago he started taking 2 hours to fall asleep at bedtime, refused to wear his sleep sack, asking for 3 books before bed and having tantrums. He also developed a weird fear of the bath which he has always loved (although this seems to have got better over the last couple of days). Once he is asleep, he then wakes up a few hours later crying and won’t settle and then ends up being awake 1-2 hours in the middle of the night. Is this the 2 year sleep regression? I am really drained and running on empty from broken sleep and constant tantrums. It’s already been a few weeks and I don’t know how much longer I can deal with this 😩

My toddler wakes up every day at 5am 🤦🏼‍♀️ I dont think hes ready to drop the nap. He sleeps for 1.5 hour a day. We tried to shorten it to 1h but he's just a one big grumpy toddler for the rest of the day. He goes to bed at 7.30pm and falls asleep almost immediately. Im 35weeks pregnant. Every morning I dread the time when the baby is here and I need to get up at 5 🤦🏼‍♀️ what can I do? 😭

Has anyone dropped all naps yet? My daughter who has just turned 2 is really fighting bedtimes after having a one hour nap in the middle of the day, wondering whether we need to drop the nap.

anyone else’s little one really clingy atm? my girls been in nursery since she was 6 months as i went back to uni. but for the past few weeks (tbh on and off since september) but especially the past few weeks she’s been really clingy. she cries every day going into nursery, cries going into ballet, cries when she has to let go of me in swimming, cries when i try and make her do things alone even if im right there..

anyone else and when does it end 😫😫 she’s normally really confident and outgoing

My LG turned 2 last week. Just wondering when people had their 2year check? For the 9-12mo one we got a letter early Jan for an appointment end of Jan. This one, we've heard nothing. Friends and family have said theirs were around 2 and a half years so is that just the norm now?
