My 2.5 yo has immaculate speech skills and is generally confused for a 3-4 year old because of maturity and speech. This comes at a cost. She has gone through horrible sleep regressions since 1.5 yo and goes through weeks of being completely disregulated. The meltdowns are extreme and then suddenly there’s pockets of her being normal and then they start again. I’m a sahm so I am struggling to stay regulated myself. Is anyone else going through this?

This sounds exactly like my toddler! The dysregulation is almost unbearable cos I have a 3 month old too 🥲 he is just so triggered by everything and it is really hard for him cos there’s so much change atm but it’s also so difficult to deal with! I never put it down to him being advanced with his speech but he is very articulate and has been for quite some time! You’re not alone 🫶🏼
Does anyone else absolutely hate the newborn stage? So many of my friends love to borrow him for "newborn snuggles" or whatever but I just can't bring myself to care and just leave him to sleep in his crib as much as possible. I just feel so disconnected from my baby... and in hindsight, I had this with my first 2 as well - I keep them alive but wouldn't say I truly bond with them until 6 months+...
Has anyone else experienced this? I feel like I can't openly talk about it with friends/family without serious judgement though I finally admitted it to my husband last night - I don't think I ever admitted it (even to myself) with my first 2. Is something wrong with me?

My LO is 6 months old. We live in London with no immediate family close by. When we do visit, LO has mostly cried when anyone else has held her.
I don’t like seeing her distressed. So when she cries I prefer to take her back to soothe her. My partners sister once wanted to keep hold of her to soothe her herself and LO ended up crying herself to sleep.
I’ve been thinking that she will grow put of this when she builds confidence and independence and not to force and distress her if she cries when held.
It’s difficult though as i feel like my partners family think I dont want anyone to hold her and im controlling for not allowing her to cry.
Any advice? Or is normal to just let them cry?

I had my first ultrasound and I found out my due date is May 11 and my daughter’s birthday is May 9th. I cried for about 15min straight lbvs I was already feeling guilty then I find this out on top of that I have had ZERO energy. I haven’t been wanting to play with my daughter and I feel like a shitty mom. My husband has been stepping up a lot and playing with her but now she seems to have gotten so much closer to him 😭😭😭😭 She’s like all
About her dad now and I feel heartbroken 😭

How is everyone finding their siblings coping with the change? Its only been 6 days and my daughter is getting somewhat better with the crying and shes definitely doing so much better with understanding why hes crying. I do always tell her why hes crying etc but sometimes when he cries she’ll purposely cry even though im with her or helping her etc and it just feels like theres so much then going on. I feel so bad for being snappy and telling her to stop doing it because i can genuinely tell the difference in the cries she does but is anyone else experiencing this? Shes fine with me and her dad holding him etc but she HATES my mum holding him. On a positive its made her speak more🤣
