Crawling

My daughter is 7 months old and I feel like my husband is rushing her to crawl and I can’t tell him anything cause he thinks he’s always right he’s never been around babies before and I have and I just don’t know what to do and it gets me upset.

Each baby crawls/walks in there own time - there is no set time - mama of 2 here - my 7 month boy is not crawling yet too ❤️

I would say , be careful what you wish for . As a mom of 4 whose had kids crawl all at different times , my youngest is the first to crawl at 7 months and I wish she wouldn’t 😂

How does he force her to crawl? My daughter just turned 7months and is army crawling but i just have blankets on the ground and toys around her and let her just play on the ground a lot during the day and she has started crawling on her own ! Its up to your baby they set the pace and usually every baby is different so no need to rush them but its good to encourage if they are at that stage :)

Remind him that each baby is different. My oldest was crawling by 6 months. My second baby is 7 months, a week away from being 8 months and hes not even his knees yet. Crawling can happen between 6 and 12 months. Some babies skip crawling too

My daughter is 7 months and she is walking baby's move at different speed very unpredictable my daughter didn't even crawl and I wanted her to so bad but I woke up one morning and she was standing in her crib didn't know she could even sit up without help but there she was standing now she walks around places with me in the house

I dont think trying to show her how to reach milestones is necessarily a bad thing. If hes obsessing over it that is a different story. It would be an issue if she skipped crawling and went straight to walking. Missed milestones are not good. There have been lots of studies showing the importance of development involving brain, motor skills and even how well they will hold a pencil in the future based on the crawling milestone. If a milestone is skipped, they urge u to still teach them to crawl even after they are walking. But if ur just not ready for her to start crawling lol then I totally get that! My 2-21-26 baby is allll over my house now. Its exhausting

Maybe offer him some activities to help strengthen her muscles! There are so many out there and if he's not understanding flat out that not all babies are ready to crawl at 7 months than maybe having safe ways to play and explore might help them both 😅

Rant about dad in playground incoming!!!!!

So me and my mum were just in the playground with my 21 month old. We made our way to a little playhouse and there was another little boy who seemed the same age, maybe a little older with his dad and older brother nearby.

I looked at the dad and he seemed so laid back he might aswell of been laid in the bushes. One earphone in, kind of looked distant.

I encourage my son into this playhouse, holding his hand. The little boy comes over and basically barges his way in and stands in the way so my son couldn’t come in. I’m obviously still encouraging him to go in and trying to chat to this little boy about how nice the playhouse is.

He swipes some leaves and sticks off a little table inside which makes my son jump so he steps back and this little boy leaves. He then follows us to the slide and he’s using his body to basically block my son. Kicking his leg so he can’t get on. The slide was massive and attached to a massive climbing frame. There was plenty of space for several kids.

It got to the point where we had to explain to this little boy that his behaviour isn’t very nice and to stop. The dad was on his phone still with an earphone in.

Now I try my hardest, even more so now I’m a mum to not judge and fully understand kids are kids and sharing, social skills ect are being learnt but I feel like those kids were in charge of their dad, not the other way around. At what point do you stop being so understanding and throat punch the dad 🤷🏽‍♀️

Obsessed with making boys rude

From the moment I gave birth to a boy I’ve been hearing comments about how he’s going to be rude and mess with all the girls and he won’t have any behavior. I don’t understand why they insist and on saying these things just because he’s a boy is this normal comment for a baby boy?

Is it normal to feel this way?

Baby is currently 4 weeks old…I love her to bits but I DREAD her wake windows, as horrible as that sounds😖
She’s rarely content or happy when she’s awake. If she’s awake she’s crying or screaming. I actually get scared for when she might wake up because she gets herself in such a state.
Has anyone else felt this way? Or am I just an awful mum lol.

Im hoping this gets better once baby is a bit older & can interact more with things/play/laugh etc

Baby not sleeping through the night 😫

So my baby is 12 months in about 2 weeks. I put her down at 8 or 9 pm but she wakes up every 45 mins or so stands in her cot and cries then I go in rock her to sleep again takes 10-15 mins. She does 3-4 times by 1 am. I tend to do my chores and want some me time but i have to keep going back to her to put her back to sleep. By 1 am i get to bed scroll a little and sleep and she is up again at 4 am i feed her. Then she will stay up for 2 hours and then go back to sleep again for 2-3 hours and even then she will be up 2-3 times and me having to rock her back to sleep. I don’t know why she keeps waking up? I feel like i get no time to myself. I don’t mind her waking up but not this many times.

Breastfed to bottle back to breast

Hey ladies, I tried breastfeeding but being a first time mum I was so worried about my baby not getting enough and being accused of neglect, that I switched to bottle feeding. Since I made the decision I have been racked with guilt, shame and regret and now I'm wanting to go back to breastfeeding. Has anyone got any tips to get my milk going again?
