Alternative to godparents / godchild
We are not religious but we follow a very connected and wholesome life. I want to honour some of our closest with a guardian title of some sort but steering away from the religious ones of godparent and child. Has anyone else come up with anything inspiring ✨🥰

My sister in law chose the title 'guide parents', myself and my partner chose fairy godparents, we aren't religious at all and thought it was a nice twist
Ahh I was just about to comment guide parent. I think it’s beautiful!
Guide parents, guardians or sponsors. I honoured their aunts, uncles and grandparents instead as I couldn't pick just 2 people each!
My son has guide parents and it's beautiful!
These are lovely suggestions, what do they name the child in return? As it’s not a ‘godchild’ or do they not?
They don't really. They just say I'm their guide parent!
My daughter has guide parents, people who I think could lead and support her without the religious connotations. It works for us 👍🏾
