Sertraline while pregnant?

Has anyone took this? I am pregnant and now worrying about this medication. I know it's one of the safer ones but just wondering what experiences people who took sertraline had before/after birth etc? Thanks

I have been on it for OCD most of my life. I did get to the lowest dose I could handle before getting pregnant, but I am sure it helped me get through the emotional upheaval of pregnancy, birth, and beyond with less symptoms than otherwise. Still had some reoccurring thoughts and worries, but could have been much worse. Baby is fine and all ok so far.

I took Sertraline for both pregnancies. I had two different doctors and they both prescribed it to me. In my experience it is safe. I have healthy babies. And I’ve never heard of it causing anything.

Thank you, did either of you have to stay in hospital longer or did baby have to stay and have more checks etc? I am only on 75mg at the moment so it's not a high dose however I did increase from 50mg just a couple months ago

No not at all, and I am on 150 mg still (and was throughout). We were let out of hospital within two days of his birth

I took it while pregnant with no problems

I started taking it a few months before being pregnant. It really helped me in keeping my hormones and emotions stable.
During my second pregnancy, my dr stopped prescribing it and I'm struggling.
I love sertraline.
