I’m super super stressed!!
I got caught speeding in December 2022, went to court to appeal it (august 2023) because I had 3 points in my provisional in November 2020. I’m a nurse and I have to drive for my job.
I was only 5 months away from finishing the 2 year probationary period this May and this is my first set of points on my drivers license.
When I went to court, I explained I was afraid to lose my license because I’d loose my job and my maternity leave, they were aware of my points on my provisional, but they said that doesn’t count so that I won’t lose my license even if I received points.
I received a letter from the DVLA today, stating that my license has been revoked because it adds up to 6 points within two years even if it was before I passed my test. But when I was in court they said it doesn’t count and I was an “elite member of society and they don’t want to lose my job” (judges words), they also told me it be very careful driving now.
Of course, I’m gonna call them both on Monday, but I am so stressed because I will lose my job and my maternity leave if I’m not allowed to drive.
I’m so scared, i dont know what to do ☹️☹️☹️

It will be an error by the DVLA; try not to worry. If a judge has ruled that you won’t lose the licence then you’ll be fine. Just speak to them on Monday, explain and I’m sure they’ll correct it on the system. Good luck x

If it is ever denied what was said in court you can request the transcription of the hearing. I hope you can get some sense out of the DVLA and get it sorted soon xx
thank you 😞 I really hope it is an error. I dont know what I would do if I lost my job x
Thank you x
