I’ll be 40 weeks on Tuesday and he’s still not dilated. What else can help me open up😭 I’ve done just about everything. Has anyone done the midwives brew?

Bouncing in an exercise back helped me. And going for walks

is it ok if I am already one centimeter dilated to do this or should I stay away from that my bf is cautious about everything and it's really getting to me bc I don't have a clue I'm 40+1 weeks today

Yeah I’ve done walking and bouncing on the ball it’s now just starting to get hard for me to walk cause my feet get so swollen n start to hurt even at the end of the day when I put my feet up they still won’t go down. And when walking I’m waddling and limping cause I have pain in my lower back and I tell my ob this and he says it will get better after the baby is born

Try doing figure eights on the ball instead of or as well as bouncing it helps open your hips to get baby in position.

Sex

I’m 40+3 today and still not dilated at all. I’ve tried literally EVERYTHING. My doctor told me my body just may not be able to push the baby out on its own. She’s already almost 9 pounds. Going in tomorrow to see if she’s big enough for a c section or if an induction is the next step.

There’s a lot of info there on babies being safe to come past 41 weeks so it’s pretty normal to see no progress. I listened to an awesome podcast on due dates, let me know if you want the link. I’m 38 weeks and I know once I hit 40 I’ll be like okay why the heck is he taking so long? But yeah you may feel nothing and all of a sudden from one minute to the next labor starts.
