Am I wrong for wanting a second child with the same man whom I had my first with ( artificially ) so my son and his sibling are full blood related ? .. my ex partner thinks I’m wrong for choosing the same person and I should consider someone else … we aren’t together anymore and she believes that it will be put her in a awkward mix up by only caring for one child ( my son ) and not the other .. )

I don’t think that’s wrong at all. 🧡 I don’t really have any other advice, other than to validate your feelings.

I don’t think your wrong because I feel everyone wants kids with just one person but I do think that will be a tough thing to explain to that child on why they don’t have both parents and specially if he is saying he will only be caring for the one child that other child is gonna always think they did something wrong.. do what your heart tells you tho mama only you can make the right decision on this one 🫶🏾

Also as someone who has two half brothers and they are full blood brothers I promise you kids don’t think of it in that way they wanna see loving parents
I just feel like for myself personally it was so hard finding the guy that I found and we have a relationship now ( not sexually ect ) just a normal civil relationship and I’d like to just stick with the same person so my son can have a brother or sister and if he grows up wanting to know his father then they both can together… I was with my ex for 5 years and being 2 females it’s difficult.. I do wish I sort of thought it through better before hand because now it’s like I don’t want my son growing up without knowing his dad x

So, you’ve broken up with your partner and now you want another baby with the same donor but this time you’re gonna do it alone, have I got that right?
I think since you’re not together anymore, she doesn’t have the right to dictate your life choices to you. It’s really none of her business.
I guess it’s just important going forward that you are clear on what roles these people are going to play in your lives. Set the expectations and the boundaries now and be prepared for the complexities.
She’s willing to co-parent one child, but not the other? I can kinda see where she’s coming from: one of your kids will have two parents, while the other will only have one, but they will both have the same bio-dad.
It’s something you’re gonna have to deal with as the kids get older and start asking questions. Be prepared for some difficult conversations.
Having said that, you might meet someone else too. No one has a crystal ball - you can’t know what the future will hold.

If you have the option, I would definitely go for it. Having the same bio-dad can never be a bad thing! As far as your ex’s input, her feelings are valid but the decision is yours to make as you are no longer together, your kids will grow up and understand the situation after a few tough conversations.. don’t look at the now but rather look at it in the long run. ❤️
thing is want both of them to know whom there bio dad is and my second born will have that relationship with his or hers father and once my son reaches an age to understand I will give him the option to follow whatever he wants through and if that’s to have a relationship with his father then so be it .. but I’m also wrong for that decision to 🫠 I wouldn’t ever deprive my kids of having both parents in their lives … when I was doing this I didn’t really think it through the way I think about it now but you live and learn and I’m sure it will plan out in time

Your logic is sound. I can totally see why you would want that. The alternative is to have another baby with an anonymous sperm donor meaning your 2nd child has no relationship with their bio-dad and no second parental figure. That’s hardly preferable, right?
I can see both sides. It’s a tricky situation. But then co-parenting after a relationship breakdown is never easy and blended families have all sorts of similar issues. I’m sure you’ll work it out, whatever you choose to do.
exactly that! That’s my point .. I wouldn’t want my second child to just be conceived through just anyone when they already have another parent who is willing to be in his or hers life!? But thank you for all the advice I’m glad I can talk to people on the same wave as me
