Do I need to take my boy to doctors for possible conjunctivitis or is it a deal with at home situation?

Just clean away with cool boiled water with a cotton pad it will clear up on its own x

Ok thank you 😊 x

The only thing is to wash your hands very well after cleaning his eyes because it’s contagious

Ok thank you

My nieces got it, went to the doctors and they were prescribed eye drops.

ok thank you I'll give them a call in the morning

I would wipe with freshly boiled and cooled water a few times a day.
My baby had conjunctivitis and his eyes stuck together at night :-( he needed a prescription and drops
This looks mild and if you get on top of it should go on it’s own 🤞🏻🤞🏻

I clear it up and it's back again in 20 mins 😩

We had the same problem! Doctor said to try with cooled chamomile to see if it gets better on its own. If it starts producing some yellow material there's an infection, and you need an antibiotic crem/eye drops. For us the cream was much better than eye drops! Definitely easier! It solved everything in a couple of days!

it started today and it's yellow and under his eye is all red bless him. I'll call the doctors in the morning x

My little girl had really bad conjunctivitis when she was only 3 weeks old! Definitely like everyone's said, freshly boiled cool water and remember to wipe into the tearduct and out.
We went to a&e as suggested by 111 in the end as she had a slight temp with it and was so little, they prescribed us cream which worked amazingly after a few days!
Keep your hands super clean too! Even though I did, I still got it about a week later! Cream can be used for you also FYI 🤣 x

my 5month old just got it afew days ago. Went to the doctors on Friday and he gave eye drops and said to use breastmilk to wipe around the eye plus extra hygiene care as its infectious
