Yep, I got tired of being harrassed after breaking up. I moved outta my home while he was outta town. When he came back, the house was empty.

I know someone who fled from her home with their children due to the safety of herself & children.
She couldn't pack the night before incase he became suspicious but she packed all their documents/birth certificates/passports etc in a folder so she had it all in one place & when he left for work she grabbed all their clothes & shoved it in the car and drove.
She didn't bother with folding, organizing their belongings etc she just put whatever she could into their car and fled!
Today she is safe, has an incredible husband who loves her children like his own & most of all she is happy.

My mom did it sooo many times, she would always go back except for the last time. We would always leave while my dad was at work. If youre leaving due to abuse please document it so you can keep him from being able to get the kids if thats something you feel is necessary.

Yep 😐 I snuck out at 2am after he fell asleep just took my son and what I could fit in a backpack/the stroller and walked 2 miles with my son to the ER to wait for my mom to drive almost 3 hours to come get us, walked back to our place (cause I didn't have a car seat with me) stole his keys off the table, took my son's car seat/other essentials and fucking ran

Yes, we got into a fight one night after we had already broke up, but we're still living together. He was about to get drunk then he got ready to leave. I asked where he was going he said none of your business. After he left I was terrified he was going to come back with a gun or terrified of what he was going to do when he got drunk after he got back. I called the Sheriff's crying and they said there was nothing they could do but convinced me to leave with the kids and go to a DV shelter.
