Mummas who are working full time

Hey! Any mummas who are working until 5pm?

Just wondering how your routine is looking when you are home from work and what time is dinner time etc.

I can’t get my head around how I’ll be home at 5.15pm and fit everything in and still have time to play with my LG? ☹️

I don't get home till 6/7pm each day. My little one had tea at child care and then myself or my partner picks up and we do bedtime from 7.

How do you feel getting home and not having much time with your LO? I’m just hoping I’ll adapt (I’ll have to!) but feels like it will just be a mad rush to get them to bed.

I finish at 6pm (working from home half the week) but my husband picks up my boy and brings him home for 6pm. We then feed him dinner, have 30 to 45 minutes of play time and then we start the bedtime routine of bath, teeth, book and bed. It's not much but we make sure it's quality time plus I work condensed hours so I have an extra day off a week.

Thinking to do slow cooker meals for days I'm at work

I work from home but we all have tea between 6-630ish then have a little play, bath and bed. Seems to work for us we've had to get him adapted to a later tea otherwise we'd find it impossible plus he eats so much better when we're all eating together

what was his tea time before? My LG is 5pm which is not achievable but worried about pushing it back and her being hungry. How did you transition, with snacks etc?

what time is your LO’s bedtime? We are 7/7.30pm but thinking maybe we need to push that back to fit everything in 🙈

We have always done a later one as I knew I'd be going bk to work, now he's over 10 months the routine is
Between 7-7.30 bottle will have anything between 4-7oz breakfast about 8.15ish then normally has a good sleep from about 8.45- 10.30 play for a while and then lunch at about 11.45 will.gove a snack in-between like a bit of fruit or a cracker etc after lunch will play etc and goes down for a nap at about 1.15 till about half 3 ish then has a bottle again between 4-7oz, then again play time has a snack maybe a yoghurt or melty sticks and then had tea with us at approx 6.15 the he stays in high chair whilst we clear away have a little play time, bath/wash and bed by 7.30 approx we we trying bottle but he point blank refuses now! So just try encourage extra water at tea time!

This is all led by him pretty much an he's happy with this routine, as it stands haha im sure it can all change very quickly! He's no longer interested in milk really and does eat big portions really even if its not solid solid food yet, some puree still etc but he's a fuss pot 🤣

thank you! This is really helpful. I will get home at 5.15/30ish so we will be having a later tea too, probably about 6.30 realistically. I think next month I’ll need to push back her dinner and try get as close to routine as possible. Just feels like absolutely no time at all 😅 glad you’ve managed to just fall into a routine, I’m hoping that’s the same for us!
