Overwhelmed by in laws
Is anyone else getting overwhelmed by their in laws? We had a huge falling out over the last year over family deaths and money - we just talked things out last weekend and are moving in a better direction. Because it seemed ok, they asked for the baby registry and already spent like $600. Then we go to their house to pickup some items and they had gotten a ton of baby clothes.
I’ve been trying to very mindful about junk and Mari Kondo and spending money on unnecessary things even with a new baby, so this with all their weird money issues made me feel overwhelmed and go into a panic attack tonight.
I think I’m going to give some of the clothes back because I feel like I have to start these boundaries early. They really have a shopaholic problem as a family and are in the mindset of the bigger the better and more is more and those are just not values I want to bring into my family.
Is anyone else having to speak up more with their in laws??

Girl!! I am sooo worried about having my baby and my in laws being involved and how they interact with my daughter! My MIL is crazy! She’s very judgmental, talks a lot of shit and is really crazy! Always has to her her way she’s like a child! She’s coming here for our baby shower and I am NOT looking forward to it lol! I get so upset with my in-laws!
Mine kept buying things I didn’t want to use (like a bouncer seat…hip dysplasia runs on my side so I won’t use them)
