In preparation for ivf I have been taking a wide range of different vitamins, coq10, DHEA, Omega etc etc and I feel so tired all the time. Is this normal! Is it the vitamins doing this?

I’ve been taking similar vitamins (all the vitamins recommended by the book ‘It starts with an egg’). Haven’t noticed any tiredness as a result of the vitamins but some do make me nauseous.
I would advise seeing your GP to check there isn’t an underlying cause of your tiredness such as being anaemic.
If GP clears you of any medical issues, one cause may be the sheer stress of TTC and all the tests.
Each month of disappointment, managing emotions, being there for your partner and all the testing and appointments is a lot of stress that people who get pregnant naturally don’t have to go through. It’s possible this is making you feel tired as it takes a toll on the body and the mind.
Some tips to help:
1. Try to get more sleep
2. Regular snacks throughout the day to avoid sudden drops in your sugar levels
3. Find an activity which gives you energy and relaxes you. I try and do a walk after work a couple of times a week
4. Start saying no more often
Hope this helps x

Stop DHEA, it is unnecessary and studies show it can mess with your hormones and insulin. All you need is CoQ10 and a prenatal but consult with your doctor before taking anything. Best of luck!
I have stopped the DHEA as I thought it could be that! I have a low AMH and it says in the book it starts with the egg it’s good to take 🤷🏼♀️ x

I also had gotten that book when I started myself but then I started to read more reviews as I was reading it (before I bought any of the vitamins) and there were quite a few women who said they got pretty sick from some of them and after reading some studies done on a few with unfavorable outcomes I donated the book and just asked my doctor as this process is hard enough as it is without buying a million supplements. I wish you all the best of luck on your journey and am always here to talk if you have any questions ❤️
