Feeding schedule

Hi all. My 8 month old has changed her feeding schedule a lot and I’m slightly worried that she’s not getting enough. Just want to see if this sounds normal to anybody else lol.
Breakfast- 9am
Bottle- 12:30pm
Lunch- 3pm
Dinner- 6pm
Bottle- 7:30pm for bed
I’m just worried that 2 bottles isn’t enough and that she should be having more 🤷‍♀️

My little girl is having 4/5 bottles of 7oz a day, but that’s because she’s not really eating any solids. If she’s gaining weight and happy and eating solids I don’t see why it should be a problem!

I think the recommendation is 600ml (roughly 21/22oz) from the NHS guidelines as before 1 years old it should still be their main source of vitamins etc however every baby is different so I would just keep an eye and make sure she is gaining weight

Thank you guys! It’s only been the last couple of days so hard to judge by weight yet. I’m going to keep an eye on her and try offer another bottle just incase :)) x

You could include formula/breastmilk in her breakfast. I make his breakfast with 5oz of formula and he always has it all, first breastfeeds and then has a 6oz bottle at around 11.30. Only those 3 times early in the day takes away a lot of pressure from the rest of our day. Today's he's also breastfed at 3.30 but since has refused to drink up more. He has had fruit and chicken soup with orzo pasta. He's getting over his first cold and is still a bit snotty. Gets worse later in the day, so I think that's why... Every day is different. My suggestion, as they do recommend a certain intake, is just to try and add milk somehow to the solid (breakfast and fruity puree probably being the easiest way)

You could try and cut down slightly on the amount of food offered.. if taking less than 500ml formula worth speaking to HV as they need a multivitamin in that case :) x

If it’s only been a few days could they be teething or under the weather? The heat puts my girl off her milk too

They advise offering milk before food which might help x

see my health visitor and nhs website are saying good before milk.. hence why she’s just filling up on food 😂 I think I’m going to try add an extra bottle in and shift her meals around a bit to see if I can have the best of both worlds without disrupting her too much x

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

6 month old autistism

My 6 month old makes no eye contact with me and doesn’t respond when I call him. Can this just be a phase or personality trait as apposed to autism

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

New born

Finally had my baby girl via C-section on the 18th, everything has been so far. But I’ve noticed she’s very fussy and cries a lot. I’ve been trying to exclusively breastfeed. The lactation consultant at the hospital said I did look like I’m making enough milk for her. She was latching on good at the hospital and now here at home, she doesn’t seem to want to latch at all. She’s been crying a lot and very fussy. I’m just wondering is she’s colic or like maybe she just doesn’t want the breast anymore?
