I don’t think doctors know how you get it. They just give you antibiotics.

I havn’t been tested yet, but talked to my Doula and sister in law about it. 40% of women can be carriers, which is what you are tested for. You may not always have it with all pregnancies even if test positive with your first.

You can choose to have antibiotics when in labor(preventive) or you can see if your baby has symptoms and have them treated

I did, it’s just a natural bacteria some women have, they give you an antibiotic in an iv to prevent it from spreading to your baby. Just make sure you’re keeping clean down there
