Telling Work

When are you guys planning on telling your work about your pregnancy? I was planning on telling them once in my second trimester but now that I’m actually here, I may want to wait a bit longer 😅 And when you do tell your work, how do you plan on telling them?

I told mine at about 12 weeks just so they could plan accordingly and get me all the necessary paperwork to give to my dr. I ended up not even going on FMLA. I worked until the day before I had my baby (transitioned to WFH about 2 months before baby came) and then took a week off before getting back to work from home. I worked from home until I quit when my baby was 4 months old! I just told my boss and went to HR myself. There is typically a lot of paperwork to fill out so I suggest sooner being better!

I told work as soon as I found out but my boss is super supportive and I wanted to be honest about what the appointments were for but you don’t have to tell your work until 15 weeks before your due date if you really don’t want too or at least that’s the case at my work xx

I told mine right away . Worse idea ever I was treated so bad . That I end up in the hospital

I told mine when I find out as I am a chemotherapy nurse so no way I can be handling that stuff when pregnant , they have been great about it

I told mine at about 10 weeks

Told management straight away because of the sort of work i do but i m keeping it from everyone else till i ve had the 12 weeks scan and genetic testing results back

Anyone use the owlet sock for newborn? Is it worth the price and what are some pros / cons?

Anxiety

I’m 10 weeks and I have had so much anxiety probably for the last 2-3 weeks I already deal with anxiety but it was a tad bit easier shaking it off when I wasn’t pregnant.. I am on medication but doesn’t seem to be doing much tbh— I see a lot of yall say it’s a first trimester thing but this is my 3rd baby and I don’t remember being this anxious especially bc sometimes I’m just laying and heart rate reaches the the 120s am I the only one? Please help with suggestions. I don’t want to feel like this.. I know pregnancy is hard but fudge this makes it’s harder 😔😔😔

So ready for second trimester 🥲

I really really hate the first trimester. It’s exhausting, no appetite, not enough hours to get the amount of sleep I need, headaches, smell sensitivity, and overall just feeling like crap! And I don’t want to announce anything until 14 weeks since I’ve had losses before, and it’s getting really hard to hide it from my friends. Two more weeks to go….

Just needed to vent to others who understand!

39 weeks pregnant FTM

39 weeks baby hasn’t come yet and I am just full of anxiety. I am trying to relax. I am trying to chill, but I can’t chill. I do not want to be induced. I would love to have her natural. Issue is I am tight down there and petite and baby is measuring big like the head especially. I know that measurements can be off. But I have photos! And she is a chunk. This is so unpredictable. How do I just put my faith forward and trust in God and how do I let go of this anxiety? I am doing fine and then boom it hits me and I want to ball my eyes out. I am trying to treat myself and do little things but driving or doing anything is so hard now and I’m so huge and uncomfortable …I’m at my breaking point 😭

SPPH (secondary postpartum haemorrhage) due to retained placenta -D&C?

Looking to see if anyone else has experienced this? Currently trying to pass retained tissue ( 4 weeks pp) and finding every day so exhausting just constantly waiting and checking my bleeding. I stopped bleeding on week 2.5/3 then bleeding picked up last Saturday and I haemorrhaged on Thursday morning with a rush to hospital. Everyday since I’m waking up scared I’ll be bleeding out. Worried to go toilet to check, I’m not convinced I’ll be passing it naturally and I’m worried I’ll need a D&C… has anyone had this? My retained tissue is 2cm so they said it’s small but I have no signs of passing it or blood changing colour to show slowing down.
