Vaccines for holiday to Jamaica 🇯🇲
We’re going to Jamaica in November.
Does anyone know if my son needs any extra vaccines before he goes?

Just had a look on Google and there's a whole list, I would ask your HV or just go straight to your doctors and ask what they recommend. I will say though I went regularly as a child and didn't get extra vaccines but that was 20 years ago
I've been to Pakistan on multiple occasions with 2 small kids. Never needed any vaccination. Obviously they will "encourage" 🙄 you to take the travel vaccine. But from friends who took this vaccine their kids got ill on holiday whereas mine never did.
My daughter was 7 months and we went for 8 weeks. Totally fine the whole time only got ill whilst teething xx
We've been to another Caribbean island and didn't need any extra vaccines.
Usually it's just the standard ones of tetanus polio and hep c which they have anyways. There is no rubella, zika or malaria in Jamaica so you should be good. Check with your GP nurse or the foreign office website.
