What to expect at the 20-week scan?

Hi Hollie! I had mine this last Monday and it was the best scan to date as you can see everything so much more clearly (well ideally, if baby cooperates!). They check sizes and lengths to ensure measurements are where they should be, including brain, tummy, heart, femur, etc. Our sonographer was really great and walked us through everything she was checking so we knew what we were looking at and that everything was okay. Was a bit emotional getting to see baby's heart and everything. It's the longest scan I've had to date so that was great as well. I didn't get the mat-b form as I forgot to ask but I think my midwife mentioned I can get this from her at my 24 week appt.

it verifies your pregnancy and you use it to give to your employer to arrange mat leave, etc x

I had mine this morning it was honestly amazing, the hospital say they have it booked in for 30minute slots and they go through everything in so much detail. It really is amazing..

Do they also tell you the gender of the body. I have been anxious in finding out my baby's gender

they did in my case! They told us at the end.
