2 year development check
Has anyone else had another follow up appointment for their 2 year old after scoring low on the development checks? What did they look at then?
My son had his today and he’s scored low on his speach but also on other areas so they are talking about referring him. Just feeling a mix of emotions for him and like I haven’t done enough 😞

My little boy had his 2 year check recently and only scored mid scores throughout, they said this was mainly because he has delayed speech and nothing else. They said he was good otherwise. They have offered us "lets talk" sessions to help his speech.
Don't feel like you haven't done enough! We put all our effort into making sure they are happy and content and the checks are there to support us, not judge us ❤️ xxx

thank you, we have another visit booked in for about 3 weeks time and will look at areas in more detail I guess.
He’s only just started nursery so hoping that will help. I knew he was behind with speech just so hard to hear it. She talked about lots of different things it was hard to take it all in xx
