Formula fed baby wants to feed every couple of hours

My little one is formula fed and feeds every 2 hours and 30 minutes like clock work usually but sometimes can be every hour and 30 or 3 hours!

how many oz do you make up each feed? Maybe he’s having a growth spurt he just seems constantly hungry 🤷‍♀️ xx

My little girl tends to feed every 2.5 to 3 hours. She sometimes goes 4 hours, but rarely in the day.

it tends to vary, he can have 90ml one feed or 160ml another! Yeah sounds like it, it’s all normal! I wouldn’t worry about over feeding them as they’ll only take what they want xx

There's no such thing as over feeding a baby, you feed in demand ...yeah there's the 2 to 3 hourly thing ecf but if they hungry then feed them, my midwife said feed then when they want it ...babies have to grow regardless its always better to over feed than under feed ect .

My little boy has had a bottle every hour/hour and a half everyday since he was born- almost 6 weeks old now. The longest he’s ever gone during the day is two and half hours, and he has between 4-5oz each feed!
Health visitor and midwife both said he’s the hungriest baby they’ve ever met🤣 but not worried and said to carry on feeding whenever he’s hungry

My baby boy (formula fed) is the same, every 2/2.5 hours, the longest he has gone has been tonight with 4 hours between feeds, but sometimes he also goes 1 hour! HV said to keep feeding on demand as long as his stomach doesn’t get upset and keeps having a good amount of wet nappies. (Plus he’s very good in letting me know he doesn’t want it anymore)

It’s hard especially in the nights when it would be nice to have longer stretches of sleep, but I keep saying to myself that he’s just hungry and needs to grow 😂

We’re the same.. my girl feeds every couple of hours and finishes 4oz every feed.. she has on avg 8 feeds in 24 hours which is more than the guidance but again, HV said continue on her demand x
