My son hates tummy time but he loves being up on my shoulder or sitting in my lap. I find that it does the same thing for their neck. I also use my stomach to lay on so he can look up at me. He hates the mat and would cry and get really upset. These things have helped. Hopefully they can help you!

I do the same holding her in burping position but was thinking if it’s enough for her growth and strengthen her neck.

Same, my son hates it as well! He cries after about a minute and I don’t want to force him when he gets so upset. I’ve heard laying him on my chest while I’m reclining has the same benefits!

Tummy time is important not just for neck strength but arm strength as well so they can learn to roll from stomach to back and crawl

We're facing a similar problem. I put him on my nursing pillow or an inclined pillow for a while and then I put him on the floor for a bit. I slowly increase the time on the floor

Do you have toys or anything? My son used to hate it and would just roll immediately onto his back. Ive added a mirror which he loves to look at himself in and starts talking away. It seems to help. He doesnt last too long, but long enough

My LO hates tummy time too :(. She is 3 months and a week now but not rolling to the sides so pretty worried. She is holding her head up without support when I carry her in my arms but as soon as I put her on tummy she starts crying and I have to pick her up or roll her on the back.

same with my LO. She’s not rolling to her side and it’s like so disheartening to see her struggle during tummy time and i cannot force her so i roll her back. She does a bit better when i put her up on a nursing pillow.

yeah i do have toys but she refuses to look at anything, screams her lungs out barely keeping her head up.

My son hates it, but i only do it for a minute or two in a day and during that I massage his back so he gets distracted from crying lol
