On top of standard saline spray and suctioning.
My doc recommended mommy's bliss cough medicine, zarbees chest rub, a humidifier at night and having them sit in the bathroom with hot water running. Said if they have troubles breathing , if they spike a fever, or it lasts more than 2 or 3 weeks (or gets worse) to bring them in.

My lo hasn't got past just a little cough and some drainage 🤞hope yours feels better soon

We have been dealing with it and the only medicine we have been able to find are homeopathic options for their age range which are great but they’re trial and error because you have to know the root of the problem, for example we tried hylands and mommy’s bliss cough medicine forever but it never kicked it. It would help symptoms but then it would come back. Finally I found Dr Talbots infant allergy relief and it was a game changer. I saw the most relief in my baby. I hope this helps. I understand though. I would overly stress myself thinking he was just going to get worse and I felt like I was trying every option. Ours was mostly nasal though and would cause coughing fits. The dr did give us a breathing treatment kit incase it did move to his lungs and settle but we haven’t had to use that.
