I've recently had my baby at glan Clwyd and honestly, I can't recommend them enough, they were all fantastic and it was such a lovely experience (I had a scheduled c section) x
I’m in Llandudno and I’ve chosen glan clwyd, only because I’ve had 3 miscarriages and each time I ended up in Bangor with them and hated the way they dealt with everything. My friend gave birth in Bangor, it was her first baby and she had a very traumatic experience there and my younger sister gave birth in glan clwyd last October and they were great with her, the only problem she had there was that they took a long time to check her the morning she went into labour because they didn’t believe she was actually in labour x
I had the best experience in Glan clwyd, would highly recommend x
I've had both my children at Ysbyty Gwynedd, first was during covid peak so not really representative of their normal care. Second was in the MLU at YG and the care was outstanding, can't fault them. I was really looked after. Would thoroughly recommend.
Thanks everyone, these are really helpful to know!
I couldn’t fault glan Clwyd. The midwife led unit was a really relaxing space
I had my first in bangor and just had my 2nd in glan clwyd and honestly I can't recommend glan clwyd enough the difference in experience and friendliness of the staff is untrue
Hi Emma! I moved to Old Colwyn mid way through pregnancy no3 and chose to stick to Bangor but it was only because I knew where I was going so didn't want to confuse things! Could you ask to visit both hospitals to have a look? I know when I was pregnant with my first I got to visit the hospital to gave a look around the midwife led unit etc x
