I was a bridesmaid in my friend’s wedding and was 6 weeks pregnant on her wedding day. We spent all day together and I just didn’t see the need to take away her thunder or draw attention to myself so I fake drank with all the other bridesmaids all day and no one realized I wasn’t drinking. I always had a drink in my hand, I encouraged other people to drink by pouring their drinks, taking fake sips, taking my drink to the bathroom and pouring it in the toilet or sink. I put drinks down in random spots and “lost” them towards the end of the night. I stayed on the dance floor for a long time and no one mentioned drinks.
In a pub I’ll get a soda water and fresh lime but get them to put it in one of the balloon glasses so it looks like a G&T
@CLL now that’s genius
Bring your own cup (non see through) and keep like a juice in your purse. And maybe a water bottle (vodka) to mix with. Keep your cup in your hand and pass on all shots or let the bartender know early on to give you water shots for clear liquor and coke/dp shots for dark. - I’m a bartender and have been bartending for years. I deal with people who have friends who drink and don’t want to spoil the fun all the time. Hope this helps!
If there’s a bartender just tell them the truth early and most likely they’ll help you out and know what to do
If not bring your own cup and “liquor”
