Should this have disolved by now? I’m 4 weeks 2 days pp. Also noticed a slight increase in redness on one edge, should I reach out to my GP?

If there is redness too I'd contact your GP just incase there is an infection. X

This happened to me, my body was rejecting it so the nurse pulled it out for me xx

I still have mine poking out either side of my section. With my first the GP told me to wait until 6 weeks and if it feels loose to pull it out. However you can get them to do it as well if you don’t feel comfortable doing it. X
thanks 🙏 I was like 😆 where did that come from!
ok amazing thanks 🙏 was going so well 😢 hoped I’d avoided infection

The redness doesn't always mean infection. My scar turned red due to irritation from the stitch hanging out xx
oh interesting, I’ll just keep doing the same thing for now and I’ve got an appointment with the nurse on Tuesday to check it! No other symptoms of infection atm.

Mine did this as well at the very edge where they had probably tied it off. Eventually it came out but it must have been because the internal a stitch had dissolved. The edge did weep slightly so I kept it clean with cools boiled salty water

I had this and the hospital advised to have a bath with a teaspoon or 2 of salt in it to help the stitch dissolve, it worked x
