Clothing

Hey! Just wondering what kinds of clothes everyone has been struggling to find in maternity?
I’m having a massive thing with my work to say how i’ve had issues finding things that i’m comfortable in to do a shift and for it to not be an extortionate price.

Just wanted to get some other comments to see what everyone else has been struggling with, all comments/thoughts welcome :)))

Well I lived in leggings when I was pregnant so just bought 3/4 pairs from Asda which were great (though I had to size up even tho I only really gained weight on my belly).

Then I would pair with floaty tops, I got some maternity ones from new look and boohoo and just rotated them. Probably spent less than £100 and got me through my whole pregnancy. (Apart from two dresses I bought for parties which I got both from boohoo) x

the only problem i’m having is that i’m not allowed to wear leggings at work, and im not allowed to wear tops that are low cut, sleeveless or lowcut/backless.
Skirts have to be maxi and the same with dresses for sleeves and the cut

Ah I see! The tops I got from new look weren’t very low cut but I’d usually wear a vest underneath anyway. So have a look there.

I did get a good pair of maternity jeans from Asda, have a look at their online selection as they have pants also; not just jeans and leggings.

Boohoo have a masses of stuff that are cheap too - however some aren’t the best quality so you might have to order a number and send a few back. That’s what I did.

I've been lucky enough to have a few hand me downs/loaners from friends and the rest I've got from boohoo, ordered in bulk and returned the naff stuff! some nice long stretchy skirts to below knee and then I can just tuck any top into them for the office, I got a good pair of smartish black dungarees from boohoo too that I can wear t-shirt/jumper under
Managed to find some bits in h&m maternity too though it's only ever a small collection

I found work trousers quite hard to find as I didn’t feel comfortable in leggings at work. New look had some that weren’t the nicest but they did me for what I needed and they weren’t expensive. My work are quite relaxed though and probably wouldn’t have been bothered if I did turn up in jeans.

Vinted is the best place for maternity clothes or boohoo I wore culotte style trousers during my first pregnancy and long sleeve tops and sized up in tops and maxi dresses this time round I live in tracksuits but my work are very lenient with how I dress. I also recommend like knitted jumper dresses and tights for winter with some boots or the smock style dresses and tights xx

I actually got a lot of my maternity stuff from SHEIN! My work trousers were the comfiest things ever 😅 it was impossible to get anything from a shop cause the limited shops that did have maternity things had about 3 items 😂

I went on shein and eBay and found things for work all pretty cheap. Second hand is decent cause most stuff hasn't been worn much, got some brand new stuff on eBay at cheap price. Always got compliments on my shein clothes too and they were all pretty cheap. Couldn't find much in actual shops and tbh online from high street shops was still expensive and the exclusively maternity shops are crazy expensive
