Personal statement for family court

In need of some advice. Not going into too much detail as don’t want to be identified… But does anyone know how to structure a personal statement for family court? It’s for my SK’s mum as she’s trying to flee DV and her ex has put in a prohibitive steps order and is taking her to court for custody.

Keep it short and to the point - like no more than 3 pages I’d say. No accusations - facts only. Keep it focused on the best needs for the child/ why what you are saying is focused on the needs of the child

It must be position statement - you should state, what is your ex position what is the outcome he is looking for and why. This should all relate to the interest of the child/ren.

What your concerns are with the other parent and how this has an impact on the child/ren. These can be bullet pointed.

In the introduction, give a brief outline about when two got married for example, when relationship ended, how many child/ren they have together.
