BCG vaccine
Hi, my little one had her BCG vaccine done months ago. Only last month her body reacted to it with a big red lump like a spot. Today it popped by itself and it left a big hole on her arm.
My question is how do I treat it? Do I leave it alone? Should I cover it? What about bath time?
Anyone experienced this that can help?

Hello, it is normal the vaccine to react months after and blister up. Keep it clean and dry. it might be good to have a second advice with your GP or the BGC clinic!

What is the BCG vaccine? I’ve never heard of it or been advised my little one needs it?
Hi it is a vaccine for tuberculosis. Not everyone is offered one as it’s mainly for foreign-born babies. Some countries are not at risk so they don’t do it. The country I’m from is included in the list so my baby was offered one.
