Any 2nd time mamas on here who can offer advice?

I had a pretty horrible PPH (post partum hemorrhage) with my first, I have an appointment booked with a consultant as I’m down as high risk now. In that appointment I’m thinking I want to ask for a C-section due to the trauma of the last birth! If anyone has had a similar experience it would be great to know whether you had a vaginal birth after a previous PPH and you were fine (or if it happened again) or if you opted for a C-section. Part of me is worried about the recovery of the section but also needing to have multiple blood transfusions and not holding my baby after I had him for 6 hours isn’t something I want to go through again

I had a pph with my first, my second delivery was vaginal and it was perfectly fine in terms of bleeding x

I had an elective c section with my first due to personal reasons and honestly it was a great experience recovery wasn’t too bad either the first week was hard but after that I felt great! As long as you stay on top of pain meds and don’t overdo stuff like lifting your recovery would be fine

I had very heavy bleeding with my first, didn’t need transfusion though. My baby was also IUGR so delivery was very stressful as her heart heart dropped with each strong contraction.

Now second pregnancy considerate high risk. I am going for vaginal birthday again and hope I don’t get into emergency C-section. I am not considering planned C-section.

Speak with consultant and look at pros & cons of C-section.

You got this! 💪🏽

Hello. What did you decide on this? In similar position x

hey, I decided to go for a c section. Best decision I made, the whole experience was calm and the recovery isn’t half as bad as I expected. I was able to go down to just paracetamol on day 5 and now I’m 2 weeks PP, I still take it very very easy no long walks etc heavy lifting the usual recommendations but I feel good. Good luck on your decision! X

Has anyone started to plan out their first birthday yet lol I know it’s a little bit early but I like to plan ahead. I already have a theme picked out.

😂😂I am thinking about Sesame Street and Toy story as a theme

Girl names

We have an Elsie and we nickname her “Elsa” like queen elsa from frozen

If we have a girl my husband would love a spin on “anna” without actually calling her Anna lol

What names are similar to Anna / could be a play on words?

I’ve said Aria but I don’t know any others

How many of you had your c sections rescheduled?

So I'm choosing to have a c section this time around because I had an emergency c section after being induced last time. That was less than 2 years ago so I don't think it's a good idea to try again. I'm really nervous it's gonna be rescheduled bcs I have my sister taking time off work to help me out with the baby in the hospital since my husband will have to go home to be with our toddler at night. Also my husband starts his leave on that day so I don't want him to lose any more days. So I'm just wondering how common this is. I'm in the US in NJ

How many of you feel like you've aged rapidly since having kids?

I am feeling pretty bummed because lately I've been noticing just how much I've aged in the last few years since having my first kid. Even just in the last year and a half since having my second. My skin looks terrible, has more wrinkles, and somehow looks both dry and oily at the same time. My posture is horrible and my boobs are like a couple of massive fried eggs. I feel like I went from girlhood to bog witch just so fast. I know that it's my own fault for having kiddos so close together with no family around to support. I don't take care of myself like I should. But lawd HOW on earth am I supposed to find the energy? And what even is a pregnancy friendly skincare routine supposed to look like? I only ever needed to shower every other day and maybe wash my face once or twice a week to look good. Now something has changed and I look like hot garbage on a stick the next day after a good shower. Anybody else? Is this just motherhood in our 30's?
