I am calling the doctor this morning when they open. But I am worried and wondering if anyone else has experienced similar and been fine. When I go to the loo I have some brown discharge/blood when I wipe. I am worried that I am miscarrying at 7 weeks.

Discharge can be very normal. I’m only 5 weeks but spotting can happen, so brown discharge definitely can.
Having said that, it’s better to wear your kind and get a professional opinion x

Dear, since I conceived I’m having brown and pinkish discharge on and off.. at 6+4 I had bleeding-fresh blood with one large clot. I immediately rushed to AE and had an early scan.. I thought I’m out this time but luckily everything was fine. Saw my lil peanut and heartbeat.
In the scan there was a large blood spot around gestation sac and doctor said if I see blood no need to worry. I’m still having brown discharge everyday and inside I’m also worried, my next scan is due at 4th Oct.
But better to seek professional advice. Hope this help. Best wishes for you and your baby!

If it’s brown that means whatever it is is old, if you were miscarrying it would likely be bright red fresh blood.
It’s more likely to be implantation bleeding or just something that’s irritated your cervix.

I had this at 7 weeks with severe cramps. They sent me for a scan and everything was fine. I would still call the doctor and hopefully they’ll book you in for a scan for reassurance xx

Hello, I've had this as well at 5 weeks and spoke to my GP and Pharmacist and they advised it was because I was constipated and straining when on the loo. They gave me fibre sachets and since that time, I've had no further discharge xx

Hi I had this last week, it was quite a substantial amount and I had quite bad pains, went to the EPAU, had a scan and all was fine with baby! Just see if your GP will refer you to EPAU and they will do a reassurance scan, in the meantime try to relax ❤️❤️❤️

@Bethany what is EPAU?

early pregnancy assessment unit x

@Bethany did you call and get given an appointment or walk in like a and e

you need a referral from either a&e or your GP, best to just go through your GP as A&E normally is a long wait

@Bethany oh nooo..my gp only take calls for an hour in the morning and an hour in the afternoon...when I told them I was pregnant (after 36 attempts at getting though) the reception lady said we are booked up l for 16 weeks just call the hospital...she didn't even take my name

I had the same last week at 6 weeks, emailed my midwife as I was worried and she said “From what you're describing does sound normal, especially if pink/brown. Any cramping or pain? Generally we would say if any bleeding more than a teaspoon probably needs reviewing so if you did notice this amount then give your GP or 111 out of hours a ring.”

I had that every day for 4 months in my 1st pregnancy, hated it. A pad every day. Apparently old blood stuck in there
