27w pregnant, and I've not been able to sleep past maybe 3am for the last 4 days. Mixture of anxiety, being uncomfortable and baby moving around. I'm exhausted, I need sleep. I know it'll be worse once baby is here, but I feel like I'm being cheated out of the last bit of sleep ill be getting for ages. I don't know how ill cope with no sleep for the next 13w.
Any advice or reassurance would be amazing.

Yeah why do they decide to have a rave in there at 3am?? My sleeping is definitely getting worse. Either aching or bad dreams keeping me up. I generally get up and out of bed and have a milky decaf tea and then go back to bed and sleep ok after that. Tossing and turning just stresses me out and makes me feel bad cos my partner's a light sleeper so I'm keeping him up too. Not ideal though. I'm also having lots of naps though so I probably average out to a decent sleep. Yesterday I was so tired I had 2!

@Peri honestly, been quiet all day, the minute I want to sleep he's having a party!
Sadly, I'm not in a position to have naps in the day, but good idea about the milky drinks. I'll definitely give that a go tonight. I feel you about not wanting to wake up the partner as well.

I had it the other week … then I managed to sleep 2 nights the whole night through! No getting up for a wee or anything! then had a week of goodish sleep. Until last night. Hopefully it comes in phases so you can get caught up x

@Jenna this makes me feel better knowing it might improve once he's here.
I'm naturally a very anxious person, but just stressing about the usual baby stuff, is he okay in there, will I be a good mum, how will the house be ready for when he gets here etc etc.. x

Best advice I got was to go to bed earlier, and to get some exercise in the morning if you can. Got myself a really good black out eye mask. Also got myself some nice bubble bath for a lil bath before bed. Xx

I've woken up before 3 every day since April so I feel your pain. It's horrific. X

Yes!!! I rarely sleep past 4.30am anymore when I go to sleep around 11pm. 😴 I've found that something light to eat before bed or a hot cup of tea helps a little. I had toast and tea before bed last night and managed to sleep while 9am this morning xx

problem is, if I eat, I end up with the worst heartburn. I'll try a slice of toast and hot drink tonight to see if that helps. Thank you

I advise you check your blood pressure. At 27+3, I had terrible insomnia for days and I couldn’t sleep at night for even 5mins. Happened that blood pressure was over 200. Rang triage and I’m currently admitted. Please check to make sure your blood pressure is fine.
