Hi this may be a silly question but my little girl has just turned one and over the summer has been sleeping in her vest and 0.5 tog sleeping bag. Now it’s getting colder she’s sleeping in her vest, and two piece pj’s (without feet) and 0.5 tog sleeping bag.
I’ve bought her a lovely cosy 2 tog sleeping bag for winter months and was planning to keep her in her vest and pyjamas.
Someone has said to me that she should be in a sleep suit with feet (baby grow effectively). Is this right? I’m worried she will get too hot as I would hate to sleep myself with my feet covered.
Her room temp gets to about 16 degrees at its coldest but we’re planning and happy to have the heating come on in the night to take the chill out of the house.
Any suggestions would be appreciated x

My daughter is also one and currently sleeps in a sleep suit and a cover (not sure on the tog think its a 2). Her room is currently showing at 20c at night and she just wiggles out of the cover when she gets too hot
thanks hun. Silly question because my little girl wriggles a lot at night from one end of her cot to the other and side ways 😂 do you keep covering your little one or leave them to it? Worried when it gets really cold she’ll get cold

She is exactly the same we put her down at around half 9 and then I will check on her at whatever time I decide I want to go sleep move her down and recover her and then leave her till morning. But I completely understand I'm the same people just keep telling me if she's cold she will wake up and let me know xx

I don’t think it really matters if they are in PJs with or without feet covered. I would say that 2.5 tog sleeping bag and PJs are fine, but if temp is lower than 17 or 18 degrees then I would also add a vest.
