I’m due in 4 days, no signs, no braxton hicks or anything else and I’m finding it a little disheartening…
I’m currently having raspberry leaf tea and walking and bouncing on my pregnancy ball everyday, is there anything more I can be doing?
Just finding it slightly disheartening that I’ve not experienced any signs.

I’m the same as you right now I’m due in 5 days and have had nothing x

Statistically, if its your first you're likely to go over due... typically by 10 days..... this is what my midwife told me to expect yesterday 😐 you can try curb walking (walking along the curb - balancing), eating dates or having sex....

I’m just trying be patient about it, I don’t mind him coming on his due date but was expecting to see some changes happening in the run up to it x

this is what I’ve been reading about I think it’s only 4% of people actually give birth on their due date, I’m just conscious as my midwife said my trust start induction at 40+5 and was hoping to avoid it as much as possible🥲x

same I would be happy for him to come on my due date but I’m just nervous about going over and being induced

Try to relax! My due date was Friday and I'm annoyed by having signs but nothing progressing. Latent phase can take weeks. Haven't lost any mucus but the irregular cramps get my hopes up for nothing
Baby will come when its ready but things you can do to encourage it are:
Positioning - if its engaged it will pressure the cervix with gravity to open so lots of walks, curb walks
Oxytocin (may only work once baby engaged), sex and nipple stimulation/colostrum harvesting. And relax as much as possible and smell some clary sage oil.
You can try curry or pineapple too but as far as I can tell no evidence that actually works.
Finally talking to baby and letting them know you're ready when they are and some relaxing meditations ❤️

It’s true that most women have their babies either on time or late with their first, but not me 😅 my midwife told me that I’m very very likely to be late, but my little boy came almost a month early! He was due today, (1/10/23,) and he was born 6/9/23.

Honestly not really anything you can do, just keep doing what you’re doing and try to chill as much as possible! I had no signs at all until my waters broke at 39+6 with my first. Midwife will likely discuss options if you make it to 40 weeks (but I guess it differs depending on where you’re located!)

I felt absolutely nothing with my first till the night he arrived when I woke up in my waters, I was 39+4.
This time I’ve been feeling things for weeks it’s so different for everyone!

Get some Clary Sage to put in bath. And look up pressure points. Think there are some on shoulders and feet you can try.
What what me going last time when it was being so slow was relaxing and watching a good film you enjoy! Good luck!

I am exactly the same xx

I also was listening to a podcast yesterday - the last thing to develop on baby is the lungs - once they are totally ready they release a hormone which tells the body it’s time - try and think positively - the time is coming and you’ll be ready!

@Emily You can refuse the induction! Do what you feel is right. My clinic start sweeps at 37 weeks and inductions at 40+7 but I said I won't be having any of that and they were like oh ... OK then.
