I hope it all goes okay. My divorce should be finalised in 11 days. Situation the same as yours emotionally abusive and a narcissist. Hard to deal with.

Mine was a lot of emotional/verbal abuse and financial abuse. Some physical but not much. Been no contact since May 2022. We have a 5 & 3 year old together. He's an alcoholic too. I'm just baffled how people can date after dealing with that. I've tried.

My ex was an alcoholic a few beofre but recovered. I did have a problem with them taking out prescriptions under my name without me knowing and then had benefits go into their account for a large sum again i didnt know about until i went for an appointment with universal credit. Unfortunately even now they are trying to get full custody of my daughter and constantly being awkward and calling the police on me accusing me of assaulting them. Im waiting on court proceedings now for child arrangements and an investigation for ths abuse. Im currently dating and luckily ive known the person im dating for 12 years. Very supportive partner. I'm good now. Unfortunately having to live with my dad who is also a narcissist bit not as bad. My ex has 3 person felonies on minors so he'll never get full custody. Got out of prion after a year in June and I haven't heard from him....which is fine with me. I've made a few good guy friends through dating but just don't trust enough to be able to have a relationship. But, I am finally content with being alone.
