I'm just wanting a bit of advice whether I should be worried or I'm over thinking. My little one is 4 weeks old (she came late after being due in August) and everyone calls her an 'easy' baby as she doesnt fuss, barely cries and seems very content (i know i'm lucky). She's is exclusively breast fed with me occasionally expressing so my husband can give me a break. She originally fed every 3 hours and needed waking in the first week as she was so tired after birth. I was told this was normal. Since then we've had a few cluster feed nights but she has slept through the night since about week and a half for at least 4-5 hrs.
The reason I'm worried is that she can go quite long between feeds (4-5hrs) and doesn't really nag me when she's hungry, I almost have to force her. But I'm not sure she is getting the right amount of feeds per day. She was barely getting 8 a day in the first few weeks and now getting about 6-7 a day. She was making good weight when at the midwife amd doesnt seem to be underweight but this has been happening since. She does nurse for a while at least 30-40 mins on each boob so I'm assuming she's getting enough. Everyone keeps telling me she will tell me when she's hungry but i'm wondering if she actually will..
Sorry for the long post.. just in abit of a worry rut.
TIA x

@Sofia thank you. So I would agree with all of these. She only dropped about 4% when I was at midwives and I haven't had her weighed since.. maybe I should? She has loads of wet nappies and poo nappies. She's pretty content after feeding and can drift of in a 'milk coma'. My husband says I'm over thinking/worrying because I care..

My baby is exactly the same now she’s 6 weeks and can sleep 6 hrs straight without a feed.. she’s 5.1 kg deffo look out for wet and poop diapers I wouldn’t worry too much, I have a happy easy baby too just getting the sleep 6hr one and so grateful for that

Sounds like she’s content and all ok . Maybe have one more weigh in just to check all good there. Offer boob more in the day if she is moving hands , looking left and right and perhaps some skin to skin as she may forage down for an extra feed. Don’t worry about the night time longer stretches of sleep x

My health visitor said once they gain their weight leave them to wake up. My little one often does 6 hours at night now! Enjoy the sleep and make the most of it whilst it lasts ☺️

@Sofia she's coming in about 2 weeks. I was going to get her to weigh her when she comes. I'm also considering combi feeding but I'm all in my head about it x
