Is this a weird name?
So we’ve changed our minds on our daughters name sooooo many times I can’t count. One thing that’s for sure is her middle name James. It’s my FIL’s name and we like it a lot.
For me personally I would like her name to start with with a “J”. Our first daughter has R.R initials so this baby would have J.J.
There’s many names I loved and he hated and vice versa.
My debate now is that we have kinda agreed on a name but I’m nervous that it’s a bad name… the first name is my dad’s name so it would be both our dads names as hers just spelt a little different.

I’m sure people google names to see if there’s anything incorporated with them and in this case there’s the outlaw jesse James and sandra bullocks ex husband? Idk but I think jesse James was a racist and I’m scared that people will get the wrong idea about why we named our daughter that…lol should I be worried or say eff it, it’s literally our family names?

It’s a cute name to me just not very feminine for a girl. It’s a boys name and she may get teased in school that she is really a boy. Kids are cruel. Jessie for a girl is usually short for Jessica.
^ I don't agree that it's not feminine. There's a country singer Jessie James Decker. I think it's cute! If James is her middle name, she could just go by Jessie at school

I know James isn’t very feminine but we just like names that can be used neutrally. I mean our first daughters name is Ryan and we love that for her lol plus kids won’t know her middle name is James unless she tells them so I’m not worried about that.
Jessie I’ve never heard short for jessica. Jess, sure but Jessie is a pretty common name and I think the spelling is common for a girl. Makes me think of Jessie from Toy Story lol
